Safe and effective laser treatment for snoring and sleep apnea
Do you suffer from sleep apnea? Is your partner struggling to sleep because of your snoring? If so, we have the solution. We offer the NightLase® anti-snoring treatment to help you and your loved ones sleep better at night. It’s not a nasal strip or chin strap, but a quick laser procedure. NightLase® works by tightening the tissues of the oral mucosa. This treatment is safe, effective, and requires minimal downtime.
What should I expect?
NightLase® is a treatment that involves the use of Fotona's Er:YAG laser. This laser system uses energy pulses to gently heat the mucous membranes in your mouth. The process is mild yet effective in stimulating your body's natural collagen production response. The tissues in the targeted area are contracted, creating a tightening effect that reduces snoring without the need for external remedies.
How does it work?
The anatomy of your mouth can play a major role in the frequency of your snoring. A low, thick, and soft palate can narrow your airways, which is common in aging individuals.
Similarly, if your uvula is elongated, it can obstruct airflow and increase vibrations. These issues can be corrected by NightLase®'s ability to tighten your oral tissues.
What can I expect during treatment?
During your NightLase® treatment, a laser light will be used to heat the tissues of your mucous membranes. This will cause tissue tightening, which in turn will reduce the intensity of the sound produced during sleep.
The procedure takes place in two simple steps :
Step 1 : Preconditioning – Laser light preheats the tissue.
Step 2 : Tissue strengthening – Laser light strengthens tissue.
What results can I expect?
A complete NightLase® treatment consists of three separate treatment sessions over a six-week period. The final results of this treatment have been shown to last up to one year. Because this treatment is non-invasive, it can be performed multiple times without the risk of complications.
Advantages
Il n'y a pas de temps d'arrêt après le traitement et vous pouvez reprendre vos activités quotidiennes immédiatement.
How much do Fotona laser treatments cost?
Cost varies with the number of treatments requested. The minimum for a session is $400.
